Archana Song, MD, has a passion for helping women at all stages of life. Her practice includes obstetrics and gynecology with special expertise in adolescent gynecology, reproductive health, high-risk obstetrics and menopause care. She offers support for birth control, regulation of menstrual cycles and treatment of painful or heavy period as well as care for gynecologic conditions like fibroid uterus and endometriosis. Dr. Sonig is skilled in minimally invasive surgical techniques that offer faster recovery and improved outcomes. Women can also count on her to help them manage hot flashes, night sweats and other symptoms of menopause.
Following medical school at Kasturba Medical College Manipal, in Karnataka, India, Dr. Sonig earned a master’s degree in obstetrics and gynecology at Ravindra Nath Tagore Medical College. She gained experience in gynecologic oncology at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology. After relocating to the United States, she completed a second residency in obstetrics and gynecology at State University of New York, University at Buffalo. She has practiced obstetrics and gynecology at Atlantic Health in New Jersey and at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital. In 2019, Dr. Sonig received an award for excellence in minimally invasive gynecology from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and another for excellence in gynecologic surgery from University at Buffalo. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Association of Gynecologic Oncologists of India and Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecological Societies of India.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Sonig enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters and the family dog. She also enjoys yoga, biking and playing pickleball.
